PAK vs SL 2023, Pakistan Test squad: Shaheen Afridi returns for Pakistan’s 2023 tour of Sri Lanka



Pakistan have named their Test crew for the two-match series against Sri Lanka, with Shaheen Afridi's return being one of the striking features.

Two uncapped Test players - Mohammad Huraira and Aamer Jamal - have been remembered for the 16-part crew which will go to Sri Lanka in July.

It will check the start of Pakistan's Reality Test Title 2023-25 cycle.

The side, drove by Babar Azam, has impressive experience, including the two wicketkeepers Mohammad Rizwan and Sarfaraz Ahmed, the previous Pakistan captain.

Shaheen will join Naseem Shah and Hassan Ali in the speed division, with Jamal adding to the capability. The twist division is adequately supplied too in Abrar Ahmed, Nauman Ali, Mohammad Nawaz and Salman Agha.

"I'm exceptionally eager to be getting back to the Pakistan Test side following a year," Shaheen was cited as saying in a media discharge by PCB. "I truly missed Test cricket and it was extreme for me to be away from this configuration."

Shaheen last played a Test when Pakistan visited Sri Lanka in 2022, preceding a knee injury prompted impressive time away from the game.
